Rock Canyon

Located 55 minutes south of Salt Lake City

                     

      Rock Canyon is on the east side of Provo. Follow the road past the temple to the Rock Canyon parking lot. From there you have walk for about 15 minutes up an old road to the mouth of the canyon. Some of the oldest rock climbing routes in Utah are found at the mouth of this canyon. Some of the oldest climbs in the canyon were destroyed when a contractor demolished The Red Slab at the base of Ed and Terry Wall.
